One-year-old's death probed

One-year-old's death probed An autopsy is pending on a one-year-old child who was taken to Scottish Rite Hospital in Atlanta Sunday morning and died there early Monday. Lamar County coroner Jim Smith identified the dead child as Ethan McFadden, a white male residing at 131 White Oak Drive, Jackson. The address is in Lamar County but officials at the hospital first alerted the Butts County sheriff's office and coroner, Smith said. Lamar investigators were at the hospital Monday as the death has been termed suspicious. Smith said he is waiting on the child's parents, Michael and Tiffany McFadden, to choose a funeral home. The funeral home will then transfer the body to the crime lab for the autopsy. A tax records search indicated the home at the address is owned by Tiffany S. McFadden. Young Ethan died two days after his first birthday.
