Sheriff Wendell Beam said Thursday the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a missing person report in northeastern 
Spalding County.
At approximately 2:00pm on Wednesday, July 4th, Gloria Jean Brownlee left her residence at101 Wilti Road in Spalding County and has not been seen since.
The Sheriff is requesting anyone with information regarding this person to notify the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office or their local law enforcement agency. The Spalding County Sheriff’s Office number is (770) 467-4282.
On Wednesday evening, a search of the area was made by a team in the woods and with the departmental helicopter of the surrounding area. On Thursday morning a search team returned to the location with K-9 Units, all-terrain vehicles, and the departmental helicopter.
At the time of this news release Ms. Brownlee has not been located.
Brownlee is described as follows: Black female, 56 years of age, 5 feet, five inches in height, 170 lbs., short hair (she has been known to wear a wig with longer hair). She was last seen wearing an orange shirt, black pants, polka dot socks, and pink curlers in her hair.
Beam said Brownlee suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and other medical conditions. Family members have reported that she left the residence and possibly walked into the woods around the house.
