On July 3, 2012, William Curtis “Bo” Breland, age 24, of 1315 South Lee Street, Griffin, Georgia was arrested following a vehicle chase. Deputies attempted to stop Mr. Breland on Vaughn School Road for a driver’s license violation and a previous incident when he failed to stop for deputies who attempted to stop him for other traffic violations. Mr. Breland failed to stop for deputies on Vaughn School Road and attempted to elude them by traveling on numerous roads in the north western Spalding County reaching speeds of 90 miles per hour.
Mr. Breland lost control of his vehicle at the intersection of Sidney Road and Birdie Road where he ran off the road and wrecked the 2001 Mazda Millenia car he was driving. Mr. Breland was life-flighted to an Atlanta hospital for injuries he received in the accident. He faces numerous traffic charges and possible drug charges.
