Spalding Fire units responded to a massive fire at the JRs Lounge on Highway 16 at the intersection of Poplar street about 11:00 on Wednesday night. Battalion Chief Jamie Clark said that when he arrived at the scene the structure was fully involved. Six units of the Spalding Fire Department contained the blaze. Battalion Chief Clark said that the investigation will continue and more information is expected to be released later in relation to this large fire. Officials did not think there were any injuries to any one from the fire but it will be Thursday morning before investigations can continue. No firefighters were injured from the incident.
